The New Mexico Masked Man
The Mystery
From the Land of Enchantment comes this most extraordinary and enchanting profile in an abstract image set in a 14K gold picture frame design (22 grams).
Who is the strange masked man pictured in stone? Could it be from the 15th century era, or further back in time?
Strange paintings have been discovered in caves, all over the world, some thousands of year old. Leave it to mother nature to put this detailed image in a stone called picture jasper. In cutting this plentiful stone, you can discover a masterpiece, or destroy one!

"After working with this stone for many years, my own personal reward was in creating this most impressive piece of art, back in October of 1976. There are so called unexplained phenomenons, but this is a mystery in itself."
"A picture is worth a thousand words, but seeing is believing! I hope you will be fascinated and intrigued with these photos of this one-of-a-kind, rare picture jasper creation." |
Face in the Rock
"The New Mexico Masked Man" appeared when Roger Gallegos split a picture jasper stone. The stone, which looks like petrified wood, is commonly split for the scenic landscapes that appear. Gallegos, a jeweler who has been working with picture jasper for more than 14 years, designed a gold ring to mount his rare find.
